Expanding my Repetoire....

I and the momma-to-be found this image online and loved it!  It complemented her existing body art (tattoos), so I henna-ized it a little for a truly individualized Henna Belly!

I've been busy!

So I've finally dumped all the photos of the past month or so onto the computer.  There is definitely a baby boom going on in Calgary!

Mistaken Identity...

 This baby boy's due date was a few weeks away, so Momma liked the idea of doing a coi fish, since he would have been an Aquarius/Pisces cusp.  And didn't want all the flowery girl stuff either.  But, the water broke this morning, so he is firmly in Aquarius territory!

Out of Town Henna

This afternoon I took a lovely drive out to Cochrane, AB for a Henna Belly appointment.  Two, actually.  A local mom saw my article in Prema Sai Wholistic Living Magazine (reprinted here) and contacted me to purchase 2 gift certificates as Christmas gifts for family.  So, I was able to complete both bellies in one appointment.  I think they turned out great!

....and approx. 18 hours after paste removed...

This morning, my friend who is 37 weeks pregnant came over to my place. Our younger children played relatively well together while I completed this design (between trips to the potty and snacks and putting on a DVD).

Blessingway

I was honored to be a part of my friend's Blessingway. A Blessingway is a gathering of women who get together to offer support and wisdom to the momma-to-be. It was a beautiful afternoon!

Henna Workshop

Last night I had such a wonderful time meeting new Henna friends at a workshop put on by Larissa of Dragonfly Designs. I learned mehndi from Larissa last year and it was an honour to suck up some more of her knowledge.

I have new ideas, new confidence and am newly inspired to improve my henna art!
